my fuel gauge on my 96 civic hb cx works when it wants to.it will stay on full for a few days then (usually)in the morning the gauge will drop to the correct fuel level.once it drops to the correct fuel level ,i can drive for a few minutes untill it rises  all the way up again and then the same process happens?????anyone got any advice on how to fix this?

im guessing i gotta pull out my rear seat and take out the fuel pump(the sensor is on the pump right?)
